Tristate Locknuts is a wholesale provider of all metal prevailing torque locknuts that always tries to meet the requirements of the customers in multiple material and finish combinations.
All metal torque prevailing locknuts are available in different variations. They incorporate a locking feature that enhances friction between the nut and it’s mating part. This means that one has to apply greater force to both assemble and remove the nut. All in all, it means that the nuts do not simply loosen with vibration – a great plus point. Additionally, with all metal, it means they can be very easily be used in applications where excessive temperature exist or where certain chemicals are being used. Typically, they can be used for up to 750 degrees C (or about 1400 Fahrenheit).
Typically, these types of locknuts can be reused several times, but there exists one disadvantage too. Subsequent removals reduce the “prevailing torque,” thus making them less effective. The greater the degree of deformation, the higher the amount of application and removal torque is required.
It is highly recommended to apply these nuts towards the end of the mating part because the further they travel the higher are the chances of damaging threads. Also, do not use high strength all metal prevailing torque locknuts with low strength mating parts because the hard nut always acts like a die and destroy the male threaded part.
TriState Locknuts has grown from a wholesale provider into a diverse manufacturer supplying a wide range of distributors and OEMs with high-quality, all-metal prevailing torque locknuts for industrial applications. Our trademark of locknuts manufacturer is registered with US Patent and Trademark Office and with DISC. TriState is also an approved supplier to the government.
